ABOUT ME
Hey again! So now that you know I hate doing laundry, here’s a little back story:
I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, but currently live in Fairfield, Connecticut (going on 15 years now!) I come from a family of 4 girls - poor dad, I played volleyball all throughout middle school, high school and college. I am 6 foot, 2 inches and I don’t have a problem wearing heels or platforms. (I only say this because ya’ll are going to ask anyways!)
I love the east coast and feel like this part of the country was made for me. It truly was the best decision to pack it all up after college and, who knows, maybe I'll find another place to spend the next 15 years.
I have loved photography since I can remember. A lot of photographers say that I know, but it’s true and I’ll just be one of those always knew people. But I was always drawn to the arts in school, and growing up I had this dream of being a fashion stylest/designer/creative. I also wanted a pet iguana, but somethings just aren’t meant to be :) I ultimately chose the sports path to guide my future into college and my career today, and given the choice, I wouldn’t change that path for a second. Volleyball has shaped me into the person I am today and the reason I can even be a photographer.
Quickly on my sports background: I played volleyball at the University of Southern California (Fight On! for anyone that knows what that means) and also at Sacred Heart University where I got my Master’s Degree. I am now the Associate Head Coach at Sacred Heart and own/run a travel program called Nova Volleyball Club here in Fairfield.
I love my job as a coach, but photography and I go way back. I have wanted to get my hands dirty in this field forever. So here I am, 20+ years later from when I first picked up a camera (and a volleyball) - doing two things I love and feeling incredibly blessed.
My work is natural, warm and not necessarily “perfect.” But my work is always ME.
I will have a few blurry or underexposed gems that make me feel more artsy than I really am (and they will definitely go in your gallery!)
I am a fur mama to the two best Aussie boys, Zeus and BoBear, I’m a lover of all things pizza and wine, I LOVE to travel, and I’m always ready for a new adventure.
Beach, mountains, backyards, bedrooms, bathrooms, rain, snow, you name it…we can shoot in it.
